The paper briefly describes the laboratory and field studies of the development of Magnesium Phosphate Cement— an advanced material for speedy repair of concrete pavements. It also highlights special considerations on the use of Magnesium Phosphate Cement and its procedure of application. Temperature characteristics of Magnesium Phosphate Cement mortar have also been investigated. Results revealed that Magnesium Phosphate Cement can suitably be used for speedy repair of highway & airfield pavements and traffic can be allowed to open over repaired patches after 4–5 hours.
