“病-证-效”结合研究的思考与探索

As an important diagnostic and therapeutic mode in clinic now, disease-syndrome integration reflects the combination of two thinking methods of biomedicine and traditional Chinese medicine to some extent, and meets the clinical needs of modern practice. On the other hand, disease-syndrome-efficacy based comprehensive efficacy evaluation system further shows the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in clinic. Disease-syndrome-efficacy based clinical and experimental studies on cirrhosis indicate that syndrome classification is associated with its pathological changes to some extent, and syndrome differentiation based treatment not only improves symptoms and signs of individual patient, but also improves pathological changes-related biological parameters, suggesting disease-syndrome prescriptions with different actions might be a useful tool to investigate disease-syndrome theory. In conclusion, disease-syndrome-efficacy integration is a bridge to communicate traditional Chinese medicine and modem life science, and a new approach to modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.
