摘要
This article reviews regenerated cellulose which is a candidate in sustainable green materials prepared from various natural sources of woods and waste cellulose. So, such material is quietly useful for natural derived products since this approach can solve any environment problems due to containing nature-friendly processes and properties. Regenerated cellulose has aimed widely to be carbon new-neutral materials, which are alternative biomasses to instead of petroleum-based polymers. But, at this time, there are many problems to need to be improved in following points; Such biomass source of native cellulose or their derivatives is difficult to be processing and chemical treatment for purification is required as a regeneration process. Thus, the present article highlights preparation of regenerated cellulose materials including processes of cellulose purification, regenerated cellulose dissolution, and production. In addition, various potential applications of the regenerated cellulose materials are classified by the forms of fiber, film, and suspension and their properties are also summarized. Furthermore, the future trend of the regenerated cellulose materials is described in the point of views of industrial market.
