However, evidence regarding the efficacy and safety of most monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and small molecules are very limited in the older population. These evidence gaps may lead to incorrect assumptions regarding safety, side effects, and efficacy. This may mean that potentially beneficial treatments are withheld owing to concerns regarding lack of supportive evidence. Conversely, older patients may be exposed to undue risk of side effects owing to underestimates of toxicity.RelevanceThis review highlights data gaps.
