摘要
Background: Gut brain axis is a type of bidirectional pathway between the enteric nervous system and central nervous system. The alteration in this signaling pathway may results in several enteric as well as CNS disorders. Acrylamide is a toxic and irritant chemical, reported to cause neurotoxicity via gut brain axis which is mainly due to alteration in antioxidant level (increase in oxidative stress, alteration in NrF2 signaling pathway), and inflammatory mediators levels (alteration in NF kB signaling pathway) in both gut and in brain, which is further expected to produce neurobehavioural disorders. In this study we have established a model of acrylamide induced Parkinson's like neurobehavioral deficits in adult Zebrafish via gut brain axis.
