The use of cosmetics whether on the face or legs, hands or hair, nails or teeth helps body‘s beauty bloom. Since last few years there were a huge change occurred in India economy. There is a major increase in countries national income. It resulted in increase in import. Every manufacturer has come up with different prices, pricing policy and price planning for wholesale, retail and end consumer. It is observed that a consumer is willing to pay a higher price for a high-quality product. The customers are ready to pay for a quality product. In their opinion the quality and satisfaction from product is more important. To remain in the competition the some of the companies spend unnecessarily on the advertisement. According to Drugs and Cosmetic act 1940, cosmetics are those which are used by applying it on the skin, rubbing it on the skin or sprinkling it on the skin by which the skin becomes clean, attractive, soft and glowing and their use reduces body odor and imparts fragrance. Such products are counted as cosmetics. The earlier focus was on female consumers, has now shifted to male consumers as well, and appropriate products-like skin care, perfume, shampoos, etc.-have been exclusively introduced in the market for them.
