Project‐Based Writing Instruction

In project‐based language learning (PBLL), students engage collaboratively to investigate meaningful questions and create real‐world products for their communities. In PBLL for second language writing, students analyze authentic texts and talk with users of the target language while developing their projects. Along the way, they learn language, content, and academic skills. Formative feedback comes from teachers and peers, and students learn to self‐assess their language development through reflection on learning.
