摘要
The pavilion and dense-eaves structures are the most commonly used forms of brick-and-stone ancient pagodas. Due to the extensive temporal and regional distribution of these ancient pagodas, accurately evaluating the structural damage and safety levels of pavilion and dense-eaves brick-and-stone pagodas is extremely challenging. Based on existing research results on the damage and assessment of brick-and-stone ancient pagodas and continuous attention to their current status, we have chosen the most common used pavilion and dense-eaves structures among brick-and-stone pagodas. According to the typical parts of their architectural structures, construction materials, and building techniques, and considering the effects of earthquakes and climate, we describe the damage to brick-and-stone pagodas and its extent. We propose a safety assessment model for brick-and-stone pagodas.
