Lignans from Ochroma lagopus Swartz

An investigation of the chemical constituents of the ethanolic extract of the heartwood of Ochroma lagopus Swartz led to the isolation of nine new lignans named boehmenan B-D and carolignan A-F Their chemical structures have been deduced on the basis of 1H, 13C, 1H-homonuclear COSY, HETCOR, NOEDIFF and DEFT nmr spectral studies.
