Iron Cluster Compounds: Compounds With Hydrocarbon Ligand

Metal clusters continue to inspire great interest in chemical research, because of their fascinating structures and potential applications. In this review, we summarize the research advances on the field of iron metal clusters on the basis of cluster nuclearity of the iron atoms. This review covers the approaches towards cluster synthesis beginning with dinuclear clusters and their reactivity towards a variety of molecules with hydrocarbon ligands.
