Erratum for “Combination of traditional mutation and metabolic engineering to enhance ansamitocin P‐3 production in Actinosynnema pretiosum” (Vol. 114, Issue 12, pp. 2794–2806)

This erratum is being published to correct a typographical error in Figure 5d,e, which led to the wrong unit mg/g DCW being reported for malonyl-CoA and methylmalonyl-CoA concentrations. The correct unit for malonyl-CoA and methylmalonyl-CoA concentrations is μg/g DCW. The corrected version of Figure 5 for publication is provided below. Intracellular metabolite concentrations of UDP-glucose (a), AHBA (b), Glyceryl-S-ACP (c), Malonyl-CoA (d), and Methylmalonyl-CoA (e) in 250-ml shake flask fermentation of WT, M, and M-asm13–17:asmUdpg, *p < 0.05 On page 2800, “As shown in Figures 5d and 5e, the intracellular concentrations of malonyl-CoA and methylmalonyl-CoA in all the three strains were higher than other intermediates, implying that the supply of those two CoAs might be sufficient for AP-3 biosynthesis in the strains.” should read “As shown in Figure 5d,e, the intracellular concentration of malonyl-CoA at first and fourth day and that of methylmalonyl-CoA at first and second day in all the three strains had no significant difference, implying that the supply of those two CoAs might have no limiting effects on AP-3 biosynthesis in the strains.” All other parts are unchanged.
