In the present work, tin oxide (SnO) and tin dioxide (SnO2) are added to barium titanate in various weight percentages (0%, 2%, 4%, and 6%) and sintered at 800° C for 4 h. The primary peak angle shifts to the lower angle, indicating changes in unit cell structure. The dielectric constant reduces initially for 2% SnO and SnO2, but then increases, showing that tin accumulates in oxides form, resulting in an increase in polarization. The dielectric constant of SnO2 is found to be greater than that of SnO, illustrating the role of the oxygen ion.
