Inorganic ligand-protected synthesis and characterization of a {Ag6} cluster within an annular polyoxometalate

A new type of POM-encapsulated {Ag 6 } cluster has exhibited a high proton conductivity of 3.0 × 10 −2 S cm −1 at 368 K and 98% RH and excellent catalytic activity for reduction of nitrobenzene with 98.55% conversion and >99% selectivity in 2.5 h.
