摘要
Photoluminescence carbon dots (CDs) have chemical stability, water dispersibility and biocompatibility. Although various methods have been used to synthesize CDs, green synthesis approaches with inexpensive raw materials are paying more and more attention. It is a development trend that transforming low-value waste into high-value biomass CDs to reduce resource waste and realize the development of sustainable technology. In this review, we emphasis on the application of sensors based on biomass CDs. The sensor fabrication and quenching mechanisms of biomass CDs to various targets are summarized. Furthermore, the future outlook and challenges for biomass CDs as sensing materials are also discussed.
