On the one hand, the development of urban fringe village is affected by the connection between the village and the central urban area, on the other hand, it is also affected by its multi island and coastal geographical conditions. In this study, 54 urban fringe villages representing Zhoushan are selected, which represent a relatively high level of development in the local edge villages. In this paper, the spatial analysis of Zhoushan urban fringe village is carried out by Arc GIS 10.6, including the nearest neighbor index, geographic concentration index and kernel density. The research shows that the sample distribution of Zhoushan urban fringe villages is relatively uniform, and the development of Zhoushan urban fringe villages is relatively balanced. In the sample, most of the urban fringe villages far away from the central urban area are transformed into tourist destinations, which is related to the fact that although they are far away from the central urban area, they are still close to the sea and have rich coastal tourism resources. However, coastal tourism is not the only transformation option for the urban fringe villages near the central urban area, so many related samples have not become tourist destinations. The historical and cultural villages in the urban fringe villages are distributed in the southwest of Zhoushan. They can make use of their own historical and cultural characteristics to compete with the urban fringe villages in the north.
