Facing the future intelligent society, implementing AI education in primary and secondary schools, cultivating students' intelligent literacy, and popularizing AI education are of great significance to national development. However, there are still many problems in the practice of AI education in primary and secondary schools, especially in the less developed regions, where AI education in primary and secondary schools is facing many difficulties. This study focuses on AI education in primary and secondary schools in less developed regions, and first analyzes the current situation of AI education implementation at home and abroad, and analyzes the current problems of AI education practice in primary and secondary schools in China. On the basis of this, the dilemma of AI education in primary and secondary schools in less developed areas is analyzed and summarized in conjunction with relevant practical research, and a breakthrough path to resolve the dilemma is proposed, which specifically includes the paths of downscaling implementation and gradual advancement; policy support and strengthening teachers, and the feasibility of the path is verified through practical data analysis. In order to provide useful reference for the in-depth and balanced development of AI education in primary and secondary schools in China, and then promote the prosperous and healthy development of AI education in primary and secondary schools in China.
