摘要
With the development of power grid technology, more and more clean energy are used for grid connected power generation. After large-scale grid connected operation, itbring severe challenges. Therefore, it is urgent to develop high-capacity synchronous condenser to stabilize the voltage of power grid. In this paper, a new high current density HTS cable is designed based on the second generation HTS tape, which can be used in the superconducting condenser, which can greatly improve the capacity of the condenser. In this paper, the electromagnetic characteristics of 15 kinds of HTS cables are analyzed. The influence of the number of stacking groups of superconducting tapes on cable’s Ic is obtained under condition of the same skeleton diameter and the same skeleton edge length. The results show that increasing the number of groups of HTS stripes will reduce influence on the Ic by electromagnetic field of cable in both cases, and this law is more significant when the skeleton diameter is small. The conclusion of this paper can allow us to better complete the cable design for large capacity condenser.
