One- and two-magnon scattering in RbCoF3

Abstract We have observed three Raman features below TN in RbCoF3 at 421, 336 and 31 cm−1. The observed frequencies agree extremely well with the one- and two-magron zone center frequencies calculated and observed in isomorphic KCoF3 of 425, 342 and 37 cm−1.
