Photonic Crystals: Spray Synthesis of Photonic Crystal Based Automotive Coatings with Bright and Angular‐Dependent Structural Colors (Adv. Funct. Mater. 9/2021)
In article number 2008601, Jianping Ge and co-workers prepare photonic crystal automotive coatings with bright, durable, and angular-dependent structural colors via a two-step spraying process. The paint solvents are studied to achieve a quick formation of a liquid photonic crystal intermediate and then a highly crystalline photonic coating with monochromatic colors, based on which more gradient colors among red, green, and blue are created.
