摘要
Natural fractures in low-permeability reservoirs often provide fluid flow pathways required for economic production. The spatial distribution of natural fractures in such reservoirs is, therefore, key to optimizing production. We present a method for characterizing fractures in the presence of multiple fracture sets, employing shear-wave or wide-azimuth seismic data. The method is demonstrated using synthetic data with added random noise.
