Lead halide perovskite emerged as a feasible material for optoelectronic devices in the twenty-first century. Toxicity and instability prompted researchers and engineers from a variety of fields to develop nontoxic, environmentally friendly, and stable perovskite materials. The water-assisted synthesis of lead-free Cs2AgInCl6 double perovskite nanocrystals has been reported here. We have created an AND logic gate depending on the fluorescence of the nanocrystals, using a combination of solvents employed during the synthesis. The synthesized nanocrystal becomes photosensitive when exposed to UV radiation. The color of the nanocrystals changes from white to orange-white upon UV light radiation. The structural elucidation was investigated using the XRD method. The morphology and stability of nanocrystals are widely investigated. We also designed a luminous keypad lock with a unique password code. The entire technique revolves around the emission color of the double perovskite nanocrystals.
