摘要
The limitations of existing radar systems can be reformed by employing a phased array surveillance radar that can detect and track multiple moving objects by estimating their positions simultaneously. Throughout this research, the idea of a radar system based on a uniform rectangular array (URA) is explored. A $30 \times 30$ URA antenna is deployed to scan from −45° to +45° for detecting multiple objects. For the purpose of evaluating the performance of the proposed system, an experimental prototype with a $1 \times 16$ ULA that scans from −35° to +35° is utilized. Three moving objects for simulation and two moving objects for experimentation are anticipated to be identified and tracked within the surveillance area with their precise locations. The suggested radar technology achieves an overall accuracy of 99.98% and 99.62% for range estimation and 95.09% and 95.03% for angle estimation, respectively, according to the simulation and experimental results, which can be regarded as an outstanding performance in comparison with the existing radars.
