摘要
The properties of any polymer are often associated with the type of their constituents and the method of binding them into a polymeric network. Polyurea derives from the reaction between two primary functional groups which are isocyanates and amine. Both research studies and the industry have employed various components containing these functional groups with a variety of physical properties to fine-tune their formulation of polyurea. This chapter presents the basic raw materials used to produce linear polyurea. We also discuss how different characteristics of the raw materials such as their structure, molecular orientation, molecular weight, and concentration affect the mechanical and thermal behavior of the cured product.
