In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Zhan, Li, and co-workers have prepared chiral organoboronates with contiguous 1,2-stereocenters through an iridium-catalyzed stereoconvergent allylic alkylation reaction using racemic α-boryl organozinc reagents as nucleophiles. The chiral organoboronates exhibit high enantio- and diastereoselectivities.
