摘要
Twenty years of lipidomics has resulted in improved understanding of the roles of lipids in plants. Lipidomics has led to an increased appreciation of lipid functions in protein regulation, control of cellular pathways, and plant development. Lipidomics has expanded knowledge of the network of alterations in lipids and lipid metabolism during plant stress responses and has played an important role in optimizing the engineering of plants for production of lipid products. Innovations in lipidomic technology and increasing access to genomic and other ‘omic data indicate that the future of lipidomics in plant sciences is very promising.
