摘要
As an investigation of Lu-based scintillators, the 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, and 1.0% Pr:SrLu2O4 single crystals were synthesized by the floating zone method. Pr:SrLu2O4 exhibited the broad and sharp luminescence peaks due to the 5d–4f and 4f–4f transitions of Pr3+, respectively. Pr:SrLu2O4 showed fast decay time constant of ∼18 ns due to the 5d–4f transition of Pr3+. The 0.05 and 0.1% Pr:SrLu2O4 exhibited clear photoabsorption peak under 137Cs gamma-ray irradiation. The 0.1% Pr:SrLu2O4 exhibited the highest quantum yield, luminescence intensity, and light yield among the samples.
