Alternative Funerals: An Exploratory Study

A questionnaire to obtain data concerning beliefs and attitudes related to death and funeral preferences and to ascertain attitudes related to specific aspects of an alternative funeral plan developed by a small, midwestern, urban, Protestant congregation was completed by sixty-four respondents within the congregation. Statistical analyses revealed significant relationships existed among several of the unique aspects of the alternative plan.
