Preparation of 2-Ethoxypropene by Liquid Phase Pyrolysis of 2,2-Diethoxypropane

Diethoxypropane was prepared from acetone and triethyl orthoformate with ammonia chloride as catalyst, then it was pyrolytically decomposed to produce 2 ethoxypropene in liquid medium of benzyl silicon oil. The process was simple with 64.8% overall yield.
