摘要
The sonoluminescence from 17 different gases dissolved in water was measured. The results show an inverse relation with the thermal conductivity of the gas. The thermal conduction losses of the gas in the cavitation bubble during its rapid collapse are considered, and an expression found for the final temperature of the gas. The sonoluminescence results for the five rare gases studied agreed with this theory. Subject Classification: [43]35.68, [43]35.32.
