Abstract Measurements of pyroelectric properties for [(C2H5)4N]3Sb2Br9 (TEABA) single crystals in the temperature range 100–300 K are reported. One of the phase transitions observed earlier in TEABA crystals by dielectric methods leads to the occurrence of a polar (pyroelectric) phase below the temperature 256 K. The nature of this transition is discussed and the measurement difficulties encountered for this compound are described.
