摘要
Strabismus is one among the common visual disorders with the prevalence of approximately four percentage of the total population. Furthermore it results in aesthetic problems, adverse psychological consequences to adults and children leads to major unfavourable issues in their day-to-day life and activities. Timely analysing the strabismus is very crucial for young patients since the disorder can be treated well and efficiently if the treatment is done early. Traditional diagnosis methods are subjective since they are performed manually by the ophthalmologists. Considering the above scenario, a system to be develop which should be enabled automatically and digitally for tracking eye disorders. In view of that a simple, screen based eye-gaze tracking system for the application strabismus diagnosis. The proposed system acquires eye gaze image of an individual, when a person is eyeing at targets. For characterizing the eye-gaze, clusters of features required and the system can be used to measure gaze parameters to reveal abnormalities in eye functioning and the gaze data known to be related to saccades and smooth pursuit eye movements which can be helpful for diagnostic purpose.
