Research Advances on the Resistance of Mangrove Plants to Heavy Metal Pollution

This paper reviewed the growth of mangrove plants under the influence of heavy metals,how about accumulating and distributing heavy metals in themselves,and how about defending themselves against heavy metals poisoning.These defense strategies may be summarized as follows:the plants accumulated heavy metals by their roots,and mainly distributed them in the root tissue except a little in various glands and glandular trichomes of leaf surfaces,as well as,cell wall and vacuolar compartmentalization were the accumulated fields of heavy metals,so the poison of heavy metals was decreased;heavy metals can be eliminated out of the plants via osmosis of protoplasmic membrane;in addition,under the influence of heavy metals the plants will increase their anti-oxidization systems to strengthen the resistance against the poisoning from heavy metals.Then some suggests are proposed in this field.
