摘要
Incorporation of two metal catalysts in a metal–organic framework (MOF) can lead to enhanced turnover numbers. In their Communication on page 14090, W. Lin et al. exemplify this strategy by combining an IrIII photoredox catalyst and a NiII cross-coupling catalyst within a stable Zr12 MOF for C−S bond formation between various aryl iodides and thiols. The proximity of the IrIII and NiII catalytic components greatly facilitates electron and thiol radical transfers.
