摘要
1,2‐Diaryl substituted chiral cyclopropanes are essential in synthetic chemistry and drug discovery, but their efficient synthesis still faces significant challenges. Herein, we present a general approach for the synthesis of diverse functionalized 1,2‐diaryl substituted chiral cyclopropanes through the asymmetric cyclopropanation of aryl alkenes with aryl dichloromethanes via chromium‐catalysis. Success in this reaction relies on using pyridine‐oxazoline as chiral ligand, affording the chiral cyclopropanes with excellent diastereoselectivity and good enantioselectivity. Notably, this study highlights the synthetic utility of gem‐dihaloalkanes in the asymmetric cyclopropanation reaction, offering a promising approach to chiral cyclopropanes synthesis. Our preliminary mechanistic investigations, including control experiment, radical trapping experiment, and the non‐linear effect experiments, provide valuable insights into the reaction pathway.
