A ‘Groot’∗ in the heart: Rare intravascular leiomyomatosis mimicking central pulmonary embolism

A 39-year-old woman with prior hysterectomy for fibroids presented to the emergency department after a sudden syncopal episode. This was associated with progressive dyspnea, chest pressure, and abdominal bloating for the past month. Her family history was negative for hematologic, oncologic, or cardiac conditions. Her social history was noncontributory. Vital signs were notable for tachypnea despite oxygen saturation in the normal range on room air. Physical examination was notable for epigastric tenderness.
