摘要
Anion-exchange membrane (AEM) has attracted significant interest in the past decade due to extensive research of solid alkaline fuel cells. AEMs are attracting ever-increasing attention, as they are promising electrochemical devices for energy production. Consequently, great efforts have been made in the area of designing and developing synthetic or naturally derived AEM, to achieve desirable properties, i.e. high ionic conductivity, ion-exchange capacity, good chemical thermal mechanical stability, fuel crossover, long durability, cell performance, and low cost. The purpose of this book chapter is to discuss the progress and market on the development of different AEMs for alkaline fuel cells.
