摘要
Energy conversion using sustainable clean energy is the most attractive way of energy conversion now and in the future. Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO 2 RR) is highly valued for its ability to capture CO 2 from the atmosphere and reduce it to useful hydrocarbons such as CO, formic acid, methanol, and ethanol. High-entropy alloys (HEAs) with diverse components and unique structures tend to have superior structures in the catalytic field and are now being gradually applied to CO 2 RR. This chapter summarizes the progress of CO 2 RR catalyzed by high entropy alloys from the following aspects: (i) reaction mechanism and performance evaluation parameters of CO 2 RR; (ii) characteristics and synthesis of HEAs; (iii) HEAs as the electrocatalysts for CO 2 RR; and (iv) the challenges and outlook.
