Electrochemically Driven Metal-Free Synthesis of Benzylic Thioethers via C-S Cross-Coupling

An electrochemically driven C–S radical–radical cross-coupling reaction between benzyl halides and disulfides for the synthesis of benzylic thioethers has been developed under environmentally friendly and mild conditions.
