In this paper, photonic nanojet (PNJ) is applied to the field of particle manipulation, and further research is carried out based on single microsphere, dual-microsphere, and two-layer microsphere. First, the single microsphere model is analyzed to reveal its photonic nanojet generation mechanism and manipulation effect for nanoparticles, but it can be found that its manipulation effect is limited in some directions. Then, a dual-microsphere model is introduced, which effectively improves the manipulation effect by increasing the symmetry of the structure, improving the manipulation accuracy of the particles and the ability of multi-channel manipulation by the manipulation of pumping phase. Finally, a two-layer microsphere structure is designed to further increase the channel width and improve the particle trapping efficiency and manipulation flexibility. This study provides new ideas and methods for the development of particle manipulation, and provides reliable means for micromanipulation and biological sample analysis in biomedical fields.
