摘要
A detailed discussion of the analysis of the structure of β-rhombohedral boron, β-B105, is presented. Several formulations of the icosahedral framework structure are fully elaborated and detailed variations in bond lengths and bonding geometries are discussed. Perturbations of the ideal structure are effected through partial occupancies, substitutional atoms, and local disorders in framework and interstitial sites.
