Dipole moment engineering enables universal B–N-embedded bipolar hosts for OLEDs: an old dog learns a new trick

A dipole moment engineering was developed to convert a classical BN-PAH framework into a formal acceptor by the installation of two “donor wings”, which enables to produce universal bipolar hosts for the assembly of OLEDs with wide color gamuts.
