Multi-component domino approaches are attracting significant interest due to their wide application in various fields and have become one of the most efficient tools for the design and development of a wide range of synthetically, medically and industrially important molecules. β-Oxodithioesters have been widely applied in various organic transformations for the synthesis of functionalized heterocycles and biologically relevant molecules. This review highlights multicomponent domino strategies involving β-oxodithioesters, a key component in the context of the preparation of a range of functionalized heterocyclic compounds.
