In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Young and co-workers present a novel palladium-catalyzed Ac-Val-OH ligand-promoted γ-C(sp2)‒H arylation of free allylamines. Notably, this protocol can complement a Mizoroki-Heck reaction and be efficiently employed for the rapid synthesis of various cis-arylated allylamines, such as 3-arylallylamines and 3,3-diarylallylamines.
