Remark on Triangle Inequality

SummaryThe triangle inequality is usually known as a special case of the Minkowski’s inequality or is proved using the Cauchy–Schwarz inequality. In this note we remark that the triangle inequality is a consequence of the well-known Jensen’s inequality, which does not seem to have appeared previously in the literature.
