In article number 1707152, Nan Ma and co-workers develop a new class of DNA-templated magnetic nanoparticle-quantum dot-aptamer polymers (MQAPs) for ultrasensitive capture and detection of circulating tumor cells from human blood with high capture efficiency and purity approaching 80%. These MQAPs exhibit amplified magnetic response, extraordinary binding selectivity for target cells, and ultra-bright quantum dot photoluminescence for single cell detection and phenotype profiling.
