Low-temperature (900°C) sintering PNN – PMW –PZT ceramics were prepared via the solid-state reaction method. The samples added with different Yb2O3 contents were compared in terms of the phase structure, microstructure, dielectric properties, piezoelectric properties, and ferroelectric properties. The tetragonal and rhombohedral phases coexist in the samples. The tetragonal phase content (TPC) first increases and then decreases as the Yb2O3 doping content increases. The Yb2O3 doping can enhance the electrical properties of the samples. The ceramics without Yb2O3 only have a d33 of 322 pC/N, while the ceramics doped with 0.10 mol% Yb2O3 have the largest tetragonal phase content and the largest d33 of 623 pC/N. The relationship between the Yb2O3-doping and electrical properties was also discussed.
