Synthesis and characterization of a novel hepatotropic vector:[(2-lactoylamido) ethylamino] formic acid cholesterol ester

Objective To incorporate liver-targeted galactosyl into cholesterol and prepare [(2-lactoylamido) ethylamino]formic acid cholesterol ester(CH-ED-LA).Methods Internal-ester and activated-ester methods were designed.Lactobionic acid(LA),ethanediamine and cholesteryl chloroformate were chemically attached via the esterification and acylation reactions to produce [(2-lactoylamido) ethylamino]formic acid cholesterol ester(CH-ED-LA).The chemical structures were characterized by IR,MS,1H-NMR and 13C-NMR.Results CH-ED-LA was synthesized by internal-ester method which has simple preparation technique and high yield.Conclusions CH-ED-LA is the glycosyl galactose cholesterol derivative syntheisized from ethanediamine and cholesteryl chloroformate via amide linkage.
