Size exclusion propyne/propylene separation in an ultramicroporous yet hydrophobic metal–organic framework

A hydrolytically stable MOF with a narrow and hydrophobic pore aperture shows the capability to remove C 3 H 4 from a C 3 H 4 /C 3 H 6 binary gas by a size exclusion adsorption mechanism even if the binary gas was pre-saturated with water vapor.
