摘要
Single-atom transition metals present extraordinary activity but are hard to be synthesized and stabilized. In their Research Article (e202312292), Jiafeng Yu, Anna Zimina, Jian Sun et al. created SiO2-stabilized single-site Zr species by the flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) method, unlocking a dual-channel pathway for CO2 hydrogenation to methanol reaction. A "seesaw effect" limitation between the competitive formate and RWGS+CO-hydro pathways was broken. The highest overall methanol productivity was achieved when two pathways strike a balance.
