摘要
Experiments were performed using a reversible MgCl2 electrochemical formation cell to measure partial molar properties of MgCl2 in MgCl2 LiCl KCl melts. Partial properties of the other component salts were calculated by applying the Gibbs-Duhem equation to the analytical formulation of the excess partial molar properties for MgCl2 This research, when combined with previous investigations by the authors, can provide a general thermodynamic model for multicomponent alkali chloride-MgCl2 electrolytes of interest in magnesium production.
